Guilty Events are very proud to partner with Lulworth Castle and congratulate you for choosing this fantastic Jurassic Coast venue; one of the most striking locations in Dorset. We've been to many an event here over the years and never a disappointing one!

The Guilty Events Team are recommended by Lulworth Castle, because we know the staff and the venue very well from the many successful events we've worked together to support there. We also know and collaborate closely with many of the other regular suppliers to co-ordinate all the important extra details.

Designing your Event Soundtrack‌

Our approach is to consider the parts of the day individually and then ensure they link together and flow as a coherent event (guide timings):

  • Ceremony (noon - 14hr)
  • Drinks Reception (14hr - 17hr)
  • Wedding Breakfast & Speeches (17hr - 19hr)
  • Evening (19hr - midnight)

The above apply to every wedding event.  Couples have also asked us to help with the soundtrack to:

  • Preparation time (morning) (8hr - noon).
  • Transportation time (guests and/or couple).
  • The night before.
  • The day after.

How wil the day progress?

We highly recommend organising a soundtrack for every part of the day, either to provide ambience or entertainment.

This could be a live performer or a managed playlist depending on your appetite!

We will help you to organise and manage every aspect of this, as well as ensuring appropriate sound and lighting equipment is in place.

The Ceremony

We suggest you think about the following aspects of your ceremony and consider how music will enhance them:

  • Warm up ambience (while guests arrive)
  • Wedding party entrance (walking up the isle)
  • Hymns / special songs / soundtrack to readings (mid ceremony)
  • Signing of the register (mid ceremony)
  • Newly-weds exit music (watch out world here we come!)

Popular choices include a pianist or guitarist, a string quartet, or a saxophone. (please enquire for further information)

The Drinks Reception

If you're lucky with the weather, then the beautiful Rose Garden is often the spot of choice for your afternoon reception at the Castle, or alternatively there are plenty of cosy corners inside if it's winter and you're not braving the snow!

The ideal drinks reception soundtrack is often a shade more upbeat than for the ceremony.

Popular choices include a singing guitarist, sax player, jazz band or roaming horn section.

The Wedding Breakfast

A soundtrack significantly enhances the dining experience. Whether live music or a playlist, don't forget to organise equipment that will ensure an even sound coverage of the whole space. Performers will also provide audio equipment and microphones for speeches if desired.

The Evening:  DJ | Band

This is where the party starts and the main PA will usually take over at around 7pm. Whether band or DJ, the general approach is to build the intensity of the music across the evening.

Together we discuss your tastes and preferences and invite you to add as few, or as many songs to a colaborative playlist if you wish. These can be your favourites or often guest suggestions, which help us to tailor the design of the Band or DJ setlists personally for you and your party.

For a band booking, the typical event will include two sets of one hour, with a DJ playing before, between and after these. This format allows for flexibility with regard to timings so on the spot we can work around any extra long speeches or other unforeseen changes!

Whatever the format, all our evening services will take care of the whole party after dinner right through to carriages.

Upgrades for the bigger show!

Ask us about adding a sax player, horn section or percussionist to enhance the band or DJ performance. We also offer a spectacular light show option with a dedicated lighting engineer to really make the event!
